If you want a more traditional feel you might choose a rug made with natural fibers because other than the natural, earthy feeling it emits, it is also durable and can last for years. If you have kids and worry a lot on spillage and stains then you might opt to buy a rug made of synthetic fibers because these are said to be stain resistant and easier to clean.
